Fully accredited 2-day workshop, designed for those who are interested in gaining an understanding of how the relationship with the Self and others affect their life.
Day One
Day One introduces a psychodynamic approach to Transactional Analysis (TA), focusing on how people relate, communicate, and perceive themselves and others. The session builds a foundation for insight, self-awareness, healthier interactions, and the recognition of unhelpful behavioural patterns. Participants will explore the history and core principles of TA, the process of contracting with others to establish clarity of communication and boundaries, and the I’m OK You’re OK Corral as a framework for understanding relationships. They will also examine common communication “games” that create hidden, repetitive patterns, study ego states and transactions to better understand thinking, feeling, and behaviour and develop functional fluency to respond more effectively across different situations.
Day Two
Day Two explores human development from childhood to adulthood, examining the influences that shape personality and the psychological tools that support growth and autonomy. Participants will study the cycle of development, attachment patterns and fundamental psychological needs (human hungers) to understand how early experiences affect present behaviour. The course also covers time structuring, stroking and the concept of life scripts, including how learned emotions, behavioural drivers, and discounting can maintain unhelpful patterns. Ultimately, the work aims to foster autonomy and individuation, enabling participants to live authentically, make conscious choices and move toward psychological health, balance and fulfilment.
