My Authentic Self

What does being authentic mean to you?
What would you like to change?
What could you find out about your Self if you delve deeper?
Do the decisions you have made still serve you?

Feel the power of letting go of the old and making space for the new

A six-sessions workshop, designed for women who are interested in gaining an understanding of how the relationship with the Self and others affect their mental and physical health.

Session information
Session 1:  All Parts of Me

We will use the psychodynamic therapy skills to recognise our separate parts, the internalised Parent, the rationalising Adult, and the very young Child to get to know and reflect on our internal selves.  We will discover how our early unconscious decisions determine our personalities, identities, self-concept, and positions we take in life.

Session 2:  Conflict and Difficulty

We will master the effective method of nonviolent communication to get our messages across, without getting trapped in unnecessary conflicts.  We will recognise how to get our needs met without getting tangled in psychological games people play and improve the dynamics of our relationships.

Session 3: Stress & Resilience

We will explore the wisdom of the body therapy to recognise where emotions originate from in our body and how to deal with stress, anxiety, sadness, perfectionism, and impostor syndrome.  We will learn helpful techniques from the polyvagal theory to take control of our bodies, our nervous systems, and how to regulate and ground ourselves.

Session 4: Attachments

Knowing about your attachment style will help to de-codeyourrelationship patterns and understand why you keep making the same relationship decisions.  Helping to overcome the fear of intimacy, rejection, and anxiety around relationships.  Leading to working towards lasting and secure relationships with ourselves and others.

Session 5:  Mother – Daughter Relationship

We are all daughters, some of us are mothers, some of us have daughters.  Understanding how the mother-daughter relationship affects our identity and relationship with the world can be incredibly healing in reclaiming our sense of Self.  We will do that throughthe mapping of our generational history and knowing how it binds us.

Session 6:  Family Systems

We will finish our journey by delving deeper into the family systems theory and family constellations to know more about the cycle of our development to address our early unmet needs.  We will learn a useful model to understand how couples grow and evolve, and what we do after we fall in love.
